| SIGNALMENT: Minature poodle, m/c, 4 years old | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| HISTORY: 6 week history of reluctance to walk up or down stairs. Cries out when picked up or if forced to move quickly. During last 72 hours, dog is ataxic on all 4 legs. Falls over and cries out. Holds head very low and walks very slowly. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

NEUROLOGICAL EXAMINATION: |

A. MENTAL STATUS: Apprehensive. Responsive.
B. POSTURE: Normal
C. PALPATION: Cervical rigidity. Cervical palpation induces painful response.
D. GAIT: Mild tetraparesis is present. Tends to drift right and left. Hypermetria is present.
