EXPERT'S EXPLANATION

The cat has LMN signs to pelvic limbs placing the lesion from L4-S3. There is an overriding fracture of L6 entrapping the caudal part of the spinal cord and nerve roots to sciatic, pelvic, pudendal and coccygeal nerves. The absence of deep pain is a poor prognostic sign.
