Course Format: Veterinary Histology, VMED 7123, is taught in two lecture periods and one lab period per week. Lecture and lab material for Dr. Ownby's part is presented on the College's web site under Histology. Topics covered in the web program closely follow those covered in the lectures and labs. It is possible to do well in the course without using the web-based programs, but attendance at lectures and laboratory sessions is required. (The pages have been re-worked for Internet Explorer, but please make the adjustment explained at the bottom of the links in the left pane)
Specifics: Each lesson begins by presenting the structure and function of a system. Specific objectives for each system are given with the lesson. After the material is presented, the lesson contains self tests. Completing these self tests is highly recommended since this will allow you to assess your command and understanding of the material presented in the lesson.

Should you have problems with the Web or need special help in using the programs, please contact Dr. Ownby (email@example.com) or Betty Handlin (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We hope you have fun and will learn in this alternate instructional format.
