This photograph may help you. I hope you included amyloid in your thoughts on the previous slide. This kidney has been treated with iodine and a bit of acid and the darker specks represent amyloid stain. There is quite a bit in the medulla isn't there?

In your clinical considerations, I presume, you did a urinalysis. Now you should be sure that you did one, and maybe assess or delineate what the abnormalities might have been.

It would be useful to examine blood serum for a variety of constituents.

Why don't you do that, get them well in mind.
