This photograph is of a horse, actually a foal. This slide is very deceiving slide.

I'm pretty sure that whatever you decide will be a guess. We guessed with a fresh liver. It turned out to be a focal lesion. Now the rabbit in previous case and this foal have the same disease. A disease that has a much greater reputation as a disease of rodents, but which, in recent years, has been seen in foals and some other domestic species.

You should review a list of diseases that produce focal liver necrosis and see if you can select the one that did this.
