Much of the cortex is infarcted (ischemic/ hypoxic necrosis). Thus vascular obstruction is presumed to be present.
The photograph on the left provides a basis for one of the pathogenetic sequences that could be responsible for the kidney in the previous photograph.
The photograph on the right is not easy to orient but we are looking at the floor of the cranial vault. At 3:00 o`clock are the olfactory bulbs. The two white things at 8:00 and 10:00 o`clock are the roots of the trigeminal nerve.
