The photograph on the left is of a dog`s liver. The middle photograph is probably from an ox. It is a fetus. Might be a pig though. Pig livers, though, have a lot of connective tissue in them. Baby pig livers don`t, however, so this might be a pig. It might even be a horse or a monkey. The photograph on the right is from a pig. You can see the lesions. Work on the causes of lesions of that nature and on the observations it would take to get specific about etiology.
Tiny pale specks are indicative of multifocal necrosis.
Multifocal hepatic necrosis is almost always caused by infectious agents. Many bacteria, several viruses, fungi, etc.
Possibilities in any given instance are narrowed by host species, age, etc.
