These photographs are from a dog.

Considering the photograph on the left:

This slide represents a clinical syndrome that you might what to check up on.

The right photograph is the vertebral column of a dog, the dorsal lamina and the spinal cord have been removed. We are looking at the floor of the spinal canal. There is a good lesions there.

In the left photograph, there is red-brown splotchy softening of spinal cord -- most severe at L2, extending cranial to T7. The photograph on the right illustrates upture of intervertebral disc with extrusion of nucleus pulposus. What is the relationship between the two lesions?
