Case 3

This photograph is of a pig kidney. 

1. Observe and formulate differential diagnoses. 
2. Decide which category the disease most likely fits.
3. Think about the diseases that fit in that category.
4. What other lesions would you expect to see in this pig?  What clinical signs would you expect to be associated with these lesions?
5. Mentally explore the rest of the pig, or the clinical picture, or whatever you think would constitute good diagnostic procedure after having found these kidney lesions.
