Case 1 (a)

This photograph is of a calf which looks like a pretty thrifty calf, but whose left hind leg has a break in the shadow between his foot and the ground.

Look at this animal and build your data base of observations and try to decide what might be wrong with this bull calf.

It reminds me a little bit of spastic syndrome.

This calf has extremely "straight" legs; a case of spastic paresis (Elso heel), not to be confused with spastic syndrome ("stretches").

What are the differences between the two?
